Westcoast International Dental Clinic, is one of the first clinics in Southest Asia proud to perform the highest technology and lasted dental approach for bone regeneration in Implant dentistry.
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is basically a blood sample that is taken from you, the patient who is about to have a bone grafting procedure done for implant placement. There is no pain or adverse effects with this procedure. Simply, a small amount blood is drawn and then spun on a centrifuge. We collect part of the blood clot called a membrate which is rich in platelets- hence the name “platelet-rich.” This membrane is separated and layered over the targeted area. This system has been used for many years to help regenerate tissue and stimulate bone formation. The membranes are placed over bone graft sites to keep out the types of soft tissue cells we do not want and promote the growth and migration of cells which will turn into normal, healthy bone. These membranes are resorbed by the body and disappear all on their own.
This is the most natural way to achieve high growth factors in a simplified method. PRF encourages rapid healing, especially during the critical first seven days after surgery.
PRF system is approved by Committee European (CE).
