2. What’s New with Our Orthodontic Program?

We are always looking to improve our service and here are some new developments in our program.

Combination Braces

Currently, our doctors Dr. Nhi and Dr. Wanji are using more combination treatments to help lessen the time for orthodonthic care. Patients may start with fixed braces for most of the heavier movements and finish with invisible braces. This helps patients wear the visible braces for the least time possible.

Implant Orthodontics

This new type of treatment uses temporary titanium implants that are placed to gain more pulling force with braces. This allows more pull of the teeth to quicken the completion time.

Braces and Jaw Surgery

Our doctors continue to work closely with colleagues in Singapore and Bangkok to provide corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) which treats and corrects abnormalities of the facial bones, specifically the jaws and the teeth. Often, these abnormalities cause difficulty associated with chewing, talking, sleeping and other routine activities. Orthognathic surgery corrects these problems and, in conjunction with orthodontic treatment, will improve the overall appearance of the facial profile. This is a service that we would like to offer to those who have considered it and have the opportunity to undergo the treatment in Vietnam.

Using the latest in digital imaging technology, we are able to demonstrate the overall functional and esthetic benefits of orthognathic surgery. Computerized treatment planning minimizes treatment times, recovery periods and the overall efficiency of planned surgery.

3. What is the First Visit Like?

We are always looking forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. We understand that each patient’s orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve. In this way, we have improved our ”Your first orthodontic visit” which consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment.

After we have evaluated your records, we conduct a treatment consultation to explain all aspects of your treatment in detail. We will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem a detailed plan that outlines your treatment, goals and estimated fees. We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions.
